“I believe the June date will benefit Westport Food Festival enormously. We’ll have the benefit of lovely long midsummer evenings and definitely no football clashes!”, said festival chairman Eoin McDonnell, head chef at The Wyatt Hotel, “The committee are working hard on the programme which features some exciting events including Celebration of Mayo Food - The Banquet and The Demonstrations at the Food Village".

Tried and Tested
Back by popular request are the Mushroom and Seaweed Foraging, the Food Village at The Mall, Kid’s Pizza Making, Kayaking Picnic, and Foody Tours. The Kid's food Race proved a winning combination of thrills and spills, and will be bigger and better in 2017.

Celebration of Food
The flagship event on Friday night is The Banquet - a Celebration of Mayo Food, at Westport House celebrating all that’s great and good in local food. Tickets are limited so book this one early. Details will be posted on the website soon.

Full details of the 2017 Westport Food Festival will be posted on the website www.westportfoodfestival.ie over the coming weeks.
